Taking care of broody hens
We have a Broody Hen! (by: Alyssa Furie)
A broody hen is a new experience for the Furie family.
Our chicken, Marcus, is broody.
How you tell your hen is Broody!
There are many ways you can tell your hen is Broody,
your hen may sit on its nesting box for hours and
take small breaks to eat.Your hen may also puff up,
and squawk at any other chicken that comes near it.
How you un-broody a hen!
you can un-broody your hen by putting it in a
small puppy crate, with nothing soft to use as a
nest.
You can also dip your hen in some cold water to
un-broody it!
